Kid Cudi has released his first-ever formally packaged EP, titled HAVE U BN 2 HEAVEN @ NITE. The project features four tracks, most recorded live during Twitch streams over the past 10 days. It arrived on streaming services mid-day rather than the usual midnight hour.
In 2026, Kid Cudi has pursued various creative outlets, including visual art shown at Art Basel in late 2025 and in Paris in January, a partnership with Off-White™ for T-shirts benefiting his Big Bro Foundation, and stand-up comedy. Despite these endeavors, music remains central, with a novel approach to production shared directly with fans via Twitch streams called “Someone Cooked Here.” These sessions produced fully finished songs shared on SoundCloud at the time, bridging the artist and audience more transparently than traditional methods. The resulting EP, HAVE U BN 2 HEAVEN @ NITE, compiles four tracks: “REAL ONES NEVER DIE,” “DROWN,” “HALOS ON ANGELS,” and “RIDE RIDE.” All but the first were recorded live on stream. Cudi dropped “RIDE RIDE” first, followed by “DROWN” and “HALOS ON ANGELS.” Announcing the release on Instagram, Cudi said: “Didn’t know [you'd] get new music this year and look, all for you. This streaming experience has been crazy for me, and Im so happy u all were able to be there to see how my songs come together.” The EP became available mid-day on streaming platforms, diverging from standard release timing.
