Kneecap erreichen Platz zwei mit Fenian und spenden Chart-Einnahmen

Kneecap haben mit ihrem neuen Album Fenian die höchste Platzierung eines irischsprachigen Albums in den britischen Charts erreicht. Die Band aus West Belfast landete auf Platz zwei und kündigte an, sämtliche Einnahmen aus den Verkäufen für wohltätige Zwecke zu spenden.

Das Album, das am 1. Mai als Nachfolger ihres 2024 erschienenen Debüts Fine Art veröffentlicht wurde, enthält Kollaborationen mit Kae Tempest, Radie Peat und Fawzi. Es übertraf die bisherige Bestplatzierung der Band auf Rang 42 und wurde nur von der Compilation The Essential Michael Jackson vom ersten Platz verdrängt.
