The Knicks cruised through East Group C with a 3-1 record and +42 point differential, then dispatched the Raptors 117-101 in quarters and Magic 132-120 in semis. Jalen Brunson erupted for 40 points and eight assists in the semifinal, Karl-Anthony Towns added 29 points and eight rebounds, OG Anunoby scored 24 on efficient shooting, and Mitchell Robinson swatted four shots.
The Spurs, West representatives, pulled off a 111-109 upset as 10-point underdogs over the Thunder in semis, winning five of six lately (three as underdogs).
