Since joining the Phillies on a four-year, $79 million deal in 2022, Schwarber has hit 187 home runs over four seasons, trailing only Aaron Judge's 210 in that span. Schwarber's season highlights included a franchise-record four-home-run game on Aug. 28 against the Atlanta Braves at Citizens Bank Park. Manager Rob Thomson praised the milestone: “Fifty homers in a season. You're the 34th person to hit 50 in the history of the [expletive] game. Congratulations. You've had a hell of a year." Schwarber responded quietly, "That's pretty sweet."
