Linus Skager unterschreibt für die kommende Saison bei Södertälje

Stürmer Linus Skager hat sich für einen Wechsel zu Södertälje SK in die HockeyAllsvenskan entschieden. Der 26-Jährige wechselt vor der kommenden Spielzeit von Troja Ljungby zum neuen Verein.

Södertälje bestätigte die Verpflichtung am Sonntag. Skager spielte zuvor für Kalmar, nachdem er beim Hockeyettan-Club Forshaga auf sich aufmerksam gemacht hatte. In der vergangenen Saison erzielte er bei Troja in 50 Spielen 12 Tore und 23 Assists.

Several Swedish hockey players with NHL experience are making moves back to the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) amid recent announcements and reports. Samuel Johannesson is reportedly joining Frölunda immediately to bolster their defense.

Södertälje SK has signed forward Gabriel Olsson from Kalmar HC for the next season on a two-year contract. The 28-year-old right-shot player, who had a contract with Kalmar remaining, was allowed to leave after five years with the club. SSK confirmed the deal on Monday evening.

Örebro Hockey is pursuing forward Michael Lindqvist from relegated Leksand ahead of next season, sources say. The 31-year-old right-shooter has averaged around 25 points per season over 11 years in SHL. Leksand fell to HV71 in recent qualification play.
