Longines launches third-generation Hydroconquest dive watches

Longines has introduced the third generation of its Hydroconquest dive watch, available in 39mm and 42mm sizes across 12 standard references. The models feature updated dials, a ceramic bezel, and the automatic Caliber L888.5 with 72-hour power reserve. Prices start at €2,200 for the H-link bracelet version.

The new Longines Hydroconquest builds on the model's history since 2007, following updates in 2018 and 2023. This latest iteration includes six colorways—blue, black, green on H-link bracelets, and black-and-blue, sunray frosted blue, or slate-gray on Milanese mesh bracelets—offered in both case sizes, for a total of 12 references. Two additional boutique and e-commerce exclusives pair sunray blue dials with blue bezels and H-link bracelets in either size. Each watch has a stainless steel case with screw-down crown and case back, sapphire crystal, and glossy ceramic bezel insert, achieving 300m water resistance. The 42mm model measures 42mm in diameter, 51.2mm lug-to-lug, 11.7mm thick, with 21mm lug spacing. The 39mm version is 39mm wide, 48.1mm lug-to-lug, same thickness, and 20mm lugs. Powered by the Longines Caliber L888.5, it offers 25,200 vibrations per hour, silicon hairspring for ISO 764 magnetic resistance, and a date window at 3 o'clock. Bracelets feature push-button micro-adjustment with about 5mm play; the Milanese option tapers and is new to the line. Hands-on impressions note the watches wear larger than stated due to bezel overhang, suiting an assertive, sporty style. Dials simplify with a triangle at 12 o'clock, applied hash marks, and dots at 6 and 9, replacing prior numerals. Priced at €2,200 for H-link and €2,300 for Milanese, the Hydroconquest positions as an accessible heritage-brand diver with solid build quality, including clicky bezel action and smooth crown operation.
