The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) has released its 2026 Padel Performance Competitions calendar, offering 35 weeks of international and domestic playing opportunities for British players across all levels. The schedule includes five FIP tour events and Britain's first Premier Padel event in London. This expansion aims to support juniors, open, and senior athletes in developing their skills on home soil.
The LTA announced the 2026 Padel Performance Competitions calendar on January 20, 2026, marking a significant growth in opportunities for British padel players. The calendar spans 35 weeks and features a mix of international and domestic events tailored to juniors, open, and senior categories.
Key highlights include five FIP tour events—one Bronze and four Silver—up from two Bronze and two Silver in the previous year. The FIP Tour serves as the entry level to the professional padel circuit, which also includes Gold and Platinum tiers. Additionally, the schedule incorporates seven LTA Padel British Tour Grade 1 events and 21 Grade 2 events, providing competitive platforms for top players to earn ranking points and prize money.
For juniors, there are 16 weeks of FIP and British Tour Grade 1 and 2 events, plus three FIP Promises tournaments hosted across Great Britain. These international junior competitions allow young athletes to vie for FIP ranking points in their age groups. Senior players benefit from over 20 weeks of competition, including four Grade 1 and 17 Grade 2 tournaments.
A major milestone is London's hosting of Britain's inaugural Premier Padel event from August 3-9, 2026, as part of the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour. Classified as a P1 tournament—the second-highest tier below Majors—this event will bring elite men's and women's professionals to the city for the first time.
The LTA Padel British Tour events will occur across England, Scotland, and Wales, reflecting an expanding network of high-standard venues selected through a competitive application process that saw record submissions. The LTA Padel National Championships will return in 2026, with its location to be confirmed later, offering prize money and ranking points to showcase both established and emerging talent.
