Matt Sydal competed in his first All Elite Wrestling match since 2024 during the July 25 episode of AEW Collision.

The episode took place at The Pinnacle in Nashville, Tennessee. Sydal teamed with Scorpio Sky and Dante Martin as part of SkyFlight against The Lethal Twist, which includes Jay Lethal, Blake Christian, and Lee Johnson.

The Lethal Twist won the match after Ricochet interfered near the end, allowing Johnson to pin Dante Martin. This marked Sydal's return to the ring in AEW following his rejoining the company earlier in June.

Other results from the show included Tommaso Ciampa defeating Zachary Wentz and Nick Wayne advancing in a ladder match qualifier by beating AR Fox. The Young Bucks also secured a victory over Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia.
