MLB reveals 2025 Silver Slugger Award winners

Major League Baseball announced the 2025 Silver Slugger Award winners, honoring the top offensive players at each position in both leagues. The National League recipients were revealed on Thursday, followed by the American League on Friday. Awards are voted on by MLB managers and coaches, recognizing excellence in hitting.

The Silver Slugger Awards celebrate the best offensive performers at each position, including three outfielders and a utility player per league, along with an Offensive Team of the Year.

American League Winners

  • First base: Nick Kurtz, A's (first win) - Batted .290 with 36 home runs, 86 RBIs and a 1.002 OPS in 117 games.
  • Second base: Jazz Chisholm Jr., Yankees (first win) - Posted a 30-30 season with 31 homers and 31 stolen bases.
  • Third base: José Ramírez, Guardians (sixth win) - Recorded 30 homers and 44 steals, his third 30-30 season.
  • Shortstop: Bobby Witt Jr., Royals (second win) - Hit .295 with 23 home runs, 38 stolen bases and an .852 OPS.
  • Outfield: Aaron Judge, Yankees (fifth win) - Batted .331 with 53 homers, 114 RBIs and a 1.144 OPS, leading MLB in batting average (.331), on-base percentage (.457) and slugging (.688).
  • Outfield: Byron Buxton, Twins (first win) - Slugged .551 with an .878 OPS, 35 home runs and 24 stolen bases in 542 plate appearances.
  • Outfield: Riley Greene, Tigers (first win) - Hit 36 home runs and drove in 111 RBIs, slugging .493.
  • Catcher: Cal Raleigh, Mariners (first win) - Led MLB with 60 home runs and 125 RBIs.
  • Designated hitter: George Springer, Blue Jays (third win) - Posted a .959 OPS with 32 home runs and 18 stolen bases.
  • Utility: Zach McKinstry, Tigers (first win) - Slashed .259/.333/.438 with 12 home runs and 19 stolen bases.
  • Team of the Year: Yankees (second win) - Scored 849 runs and hit 274 home runs, leading MLB in several offensive categories.

National League Winners

  • First base: Pete Alonso, Mets (first win) - Hit 38 home runs, 126 RBIs and 41 doubles with an .871 OPS.
  • Second base: Ketel Marte, D-backs (second win) - Batted .283 with 28 home runs, 72 RBIs and an .893 OPS.
  • Third base: Manny Machado, Padres (third win) - Batted .275 with 27 home runs and 95 RBIs.
  • Shortstop: Geraldo Perdomo, D-backs (first win) - Hit 20 home runs, 100 RBIs and 27 stolen bases with a 136 OPS+.
  • Outfield: Juan Soto, Mets (sixth win) - Hit 43 home runs and 38 stolen bases with 127 walks and a .921 OPS.
  • Outfield: Corbin Carroll, D-backs (first win) - Achieved 31 home runs and 32 stolen bases, batting .259 with an .884 OPS.
  • Outfield: Kyle Tucker, Cubs (second win) - Slashed .266/.377/.464 with 20+ home runs and 20+ stolen bases.
  • Catcher: Hunter Goodman, Rockies (first win) - Hit 31 home runs and 91 RBIs with an .843 OPS.
  • Designated hitter: Shohei Ohtani, Dodgers (fourth win) - Hit 55 home runs, scored 146 runs and stole 20 bases with a 1.014 OPS.
  • Utility: Alec Burleson, Cardinals (first win) - Batted .290 with 18 home runs, 69 RBIs and an .801 OPS.

The Arizona Diamondbacks had three NL winners, while the New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers each had multiple in the AL.
