Nicklas Danielsson verlässt Almtuna IS für neue Herausforderungen

Nicklas Danielsson, ein ehemaliger SHL- und Tre-Kronor-Star, ist nach mehr als zwei Jahren als Sportdirektor beim Almtuna IS zurückgetreten. Der 41-Jährige trug trotz begrenzter Ressourcen und einer in die Jahre gekommenen Arena in Uppsala maßgeblich dazu bei, eine stabile Mannschaft in der Hockeyallsvenskan aufzubauen. Vereinsdirektor Tobias Pehrsson lobte seine Arbeit, merkte jedoch an, dass noch kein Nachfolger ernannt wurde.

Danielsson übernahm den Posten des Sportdirektors bei Almtuna mitten in seiner halbjährigen Tätigkeit als Assistent von Tony Mårtensson. Über zwei Spielzeiten hinweg etablierte er den Verein fest in der Hockeyallsvenskan und managte das Team mit kleinem Budget in der abgenutzten Eishockey-Arena in Uppsala. Der Abschied wurde am Freitag bekannt gegeben, wobei Danielsson sich nun „neuen Abenteuern“ zuwendet.
