University of Michigan declines to renew contract of staffer Paige Shiver amid Sherrone Moore scandal

Paige Shiver, the University of Michigan staff member identified as Sherrone Moore's alleged affair partner, has left the program after her contract expired without renewal. This development follows Moore's December 2025 firing for an inappropriate relationship and subsequent criminal charges.

A University of Michigan athletic department spokesman confirmed that Paige Shiver's contract has expired and was not renewed, according to TMZ Sports. Shiver was previously identified as the staff member involved in the inappropriate relationship with former head football coach Sherrone Moore, which led to his termination on December 10, 2025.

As detailed in prior coverage, Moore was fired following an internal investigation. Hours later, he was arrested and charged with felony third-degree home invasion, stalking, and breaking and entering after allegedly entering Shiver's apartment uninvited, threatening self-harm with kitchen utensils, and declaring her responsible for ruining his life.

New details include Shiver reportedly providing evidence of the relationship to university officials after it ended. Moore's wife, Kelli Moore, called 911 shortly after his firing, expressing concern for his mental health during a crisis call obtained by TMZ. She attended a January court appearance with him.

An evidentiary hearing in the criminal case is scheduled for Friday in Michigan, where the judge will review further investigation details. University officials have not commented further on personnel matters amid the ongoing legal proceedings.
