Plans for 24 homes proposed opposite Watford Junction

Local authorities have received a proposal to build 24 homes on the site of a former bank opposite Watford Junction station. The development would replace the old NatWest building with a mixed-height structure containing various flat sizes. This is one of several public notices affecting the Watford area.

In Station Road, directly opposite Watford Junction, developers plan to demolish the former NatWest bank and construct a new residential building. The structure would vary in height, featuring parts that are one, five, and six storeys tall. The housing would consist of four studio flats, twelve one-bedroom flats, and ten two-bedroom flats, aiming to provide diverse accommodation options in a central location.

This application is part of a recent batch of public notices published on the Public Notice Portal, which informs residents about planning proposals, licensing, and other local matters. Nearby, in Rickmansworth, the Royal Masonic Park has submitted plans for three padel courts, complete with fencing, floodlighting, and supporting landscaping. These facilities would enhance recreational opportunities in the area.

Further afield, on the outskirts of Chorleywood, a proposal seeks approval for two self-build detached homes at the Dell in Long Lane, Heronsgate. The project includes modifications to the existing vehicular access, adjustments to land levels, and new landscaping to integrate the dwellings into the surroundings.

Additionally, DM Haulage Ltd, based at 100 Telscombe Way in Luton, has applied for a goods vehicle operator's licence to operate from The Conifers in Watford. The centre would accommodate nine goods vehicles and five trailers. Local residents or landowners who feel their property might be impacted are encouraged to submit written objections to the Traffic Commissioner at Quarry House, Quarry Hill, Leeds, within 21 days of the notice.

These notices highlight ongoing developments and regulatory changes in Watford and surrounding communities, with full details available on the Public Notice Portal at www.publicnoticeportal.uk.
