Resort 2027 trends focus on practical romantic styles

Designers presented Resort 2027 collections with an emphasis on everyday functionality paired with romantic details and rich textures. The season avoided strong narratives in favor of material-driven designs and versatile wardrobe staples.

Collections highlighted practical pieces like carpenter pants with reinforced knees and crisp button-down shirts. At Balenciaga, these shirts took on sculptural forms through drawstrings, while exposed bras and bandeaus appeared across several lines.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen at The Row offered a moiré trench coat as a standout. Animal patterns on flocked fabrics and silk rosettes evoked earlier eras, and ruched dresses referenced 1930s silhouettes.

Chanel opened with a modern take on the little black dress, marking 100 years since its popularization in 1926. Deep yokes and drop-waist details elongated torsos, and jeweled elements added decoration.

A Western motif surfaced in some looks, aligning with upcoming U.S. 250th anniversary celebrations. Pastel and saturated color combinations appeared throughout the pre-season offerings.
