The Seattle Mariners have revealed their radio and television broadcast lineup for the 2026 season, featuring a mix of veteran voices and experienced analysts. Senior Vice President Gregg Greene highlighted the team's depth of talent, which he said creates the 'soundtrack to summer' for Northwest fans. This announcement comes as longtime radio voice Rick Rizzs prepares for his final season.
In Seattle, the Mariners' leadership, including Senior Vice President of Marketing & Communications Gregg Greene and Vice President of Creative and Content Services Ben Mertens, unveiled the 2026 broadcast team. Greene praised the group, stating, “We have a tremendous breadth of talent and experience on our broadcast team. Together they create the soundtrack to summer for fans throughout the Northwest. They share not only the action on the field, but the stories that make Mariners Baseball so special.”
On television, Aaron Goldsmith returns for his 14th season as the primary play-by-play voice for all games. He also contributes to the Mariners Hot Stove Show, Cactus League Report, and The Wheelhouse Podcast with Jerry Dipoto, while calling national MLB and college basketball games on FOX and FS1. Analysts include Angie Mentink, entering her second full season on TV and radio, marking her 30th year covering the team since starting on TV in 1997. A former University of Washington softball star, she was the first softball player inducted into the Husky Hall of Fame in 2001.
Jay Buhner, a Mariners Hall of Famer, returns as an analyst for select telecasts after rejoining in 2025; he previously worked TV from 2002-2005 and 2011-2012. Buhner played 15 MLB seasons, 14 with Seattle from 1988-2001, earning All-Star and Gold Glove honors. Dave Valle will analyze select games, having covered MLB Network since 2009; he played 13 seasons, including 10 with the Mariners from 1984-1993 after being their second-round pick in 1978. Ryan Rowland-Smith joins for select radio and TV calls, plus pre- and post-game shows; the Australian pitched five MLB seasons, four with Seattle from 2007-2010, and appears on MLB Network while hosting “The Top Step” podcast.
Brad Adam takes on pre- and post-game hosting duties, drawing from 26 seasons covering the Mariners for ROOT Sports. On radio, Rick Rizzs, the longest-tenured Mariners broadcaster, leads play-by-play for his 41st and final season. He joined in 1983-1991, worked in Detroit from 1992-1994, and returned in 1995. Gary Hill Jr. enters his ninth season as executive producer/engineer, expanding play-by-play roles as Rizzs steps back; he leads several Mariners podcasts and serves as voice for University of Washington women’s basketball since 2017.
All 162 regular-season games and 30 spring training contests will air on Seattle Sports (AM 710) and the Mariners Radio Network, spanning five states and British Columbia. A full schedule will be released later.
