Slate Auto reveals pricing for base electric truck

Slate Auto announced official pricing for its electric pickup truck on June 24, starting at $24,950. The vehicle offers 205 miles of range and updated towing and payload ratings.

The base model pickup includes a 65 kWh gross LFP battery pack with 63 kWh usable capacity. It delivers 181 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels. DC fast charging reaches up to 120 kW via NACS, with a 20 to 80 percent charge in about 30 minutes.

Slate updated its specifications from earlier projections. The entry-level range increased from 180 to 205 miles. Towing capacity rose to 2,000 lbs and payload to 1,550 lbs. The company now offers a single battery option instead of multiple ranges.

Over 180,000 people have placed $50 refundable deposits as of this week. More than 10,000 preorders have been placed so far. Existing depositors have until July 24, 2026, to convert to a non-refundable $250 deposit to secure an earlier delivery window in the fourth quarter of 2026.

New CEO Peter Faricy addressed the press at the Gardena launch event. He said the vehicle represents more than an affordable truck. The company is also in discussions with fleet managers for potential orders.
