Slimbook introduces new executive laptop for 2026

Spanish PC maker Slimbook has unveiled an updated version of its Executive laptop, featuring an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor and options for Linux or Windows operating systems. The device emphasizes portability with a lightweight design and a large battery. Starting at €1326, it includes premium components like a high-resolution display and extensive storage capabilities.

The Slimbook Executive, produced by the Spanish company Slimbook, has long been available in various configurations, but the latest iteration targets 2026 with enhanced specifications. At its core is an Intel Core Ultra 7 255H Arrow Lake processor, a mobile chip released the previous year, paired with user-upgradable DDR5-5600 memory ranging from 16GB to 256GB. Storage options allow for up to 16TB across two M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 slots.

Portability defines the design: the laptop measures 311 x 226 x 18mm and weighs just 1.2kg, making it suitable for travel. Its 99Wh battery, accompanied by a 100W charger, approaches the maximum allowable for air travel. The 14-inch display offers a 2880 x 1880 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and brightness up to 500 nits, housed in an aluminum chassis with a 180-degree hinge for flexible use.

Connectivity is robust, with ports including Thunderbolt 4, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C and three Type-A variants, Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI 2.1, a 3.5mm audio jack, and an SD card reader. Additional features comprise a 1080p infrared webcam with privacy shutter, stereo speakers, dual microphones, a backlit keyboard, and a 5.7-inch touchpad. Wireless choices include Intel's AX211 for WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, or MediaTek's MT7925B22M for WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4—though the latter limits to WiFi 6 under Linux.

Operating system flexibility stands out, with pre-installed options like Debian, Elementary OS, Pop!_OS, Linux Mint, openSUSE, Fedora, KDE Neon, or Ubuntu variants. Windows is available but requires an additional license fee or user provision. This model balances performance and customization, appealing to professionals seeking a versatile, lightweight machine without the latest processor generation.
