Girls' Generation member Sooyoung made her first official appearance since her breakup with actor Jung Kyung Ho at a charity event in Seoul. The actress participated in the 12th Together Marathon With The Visually Impaired on June 13.
Sooyoung showed up at Peace Square in Seoul’s Sangam World Cup Park in Mapo District ready to run, with her hair in a neat ponytail. She stood alongside her father, chairman of the Movement to Eradicate Blindness, and waited with Sean before starting the course.
The event supports visually impaired individuals, and all proceeds go toward their welfare. Sooyoung has long backed her father’s work as an ambassador and donated ₩300 million KRW in 2023 for research into hereditary retinal diseases.
News of the split broke on June 9, with Sooyoung’s side confirming, “It is true that Sooyoung and Jung Kyung Ho recently broke up.” The couple dated since 2012 and went public in 2014.
