WWE Women’s U.S. Champion Tiffany Stratton has expressed excitement about competing at the upcoming SummerSlam event in her home state of Minnesota.
Stratton, who grew up in Prior Lake, Minnesota, spoke to KARE 11 about the two-night event scheduled for August 1-2 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
“I feel like this is my coming home moment, like my homecoming,” she said. “I’ve actually only wrestled one time here in Minnesota. It was on a SmackDown, it felt very quick.”
She added that she loves wrestling outdoors and considers SummerSlam her favorite premium live event. A Women’s U.S. Championship match has not yet been confirmed for the card.
Stratton last defended the title against Jade Cargill at Night of Champions on June 27.
