The Wisconsin Herd, affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, has acquired the returning player rights to two-time NBA All-Star Victor Oladipo from the Santa Cruz Warriors. The deal includes a second-round pick in the 2026 NBA G League Draft in exchange for a first-round pick in 2027. Oladipo, sidelined since a 2023 injury, joins the Herd as part of his NBA comeback effort.

On Nov. 9, 2025, the Wisconsin Herd announced the acquisition of Victor Oladipo's returning player rights and a second-round pick in the 2026 NBA G League Draft from the Santa Cruz Warriors. In return, the Herd sent a first-round pick in the 2027 NBA G League Draft. The 33-year-old guard, standing 6-3 and weighing 213 pounds, enters the G League player pool after competing in NBA preseason games with the Chinese Basketball Association's Guangzhou Loong-Lions.

Oladipo has not appeared in an NBA game since the 2022-23 season with the Miami Heat, where he averaged 10.7 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.4 steals in 42 games. His career was interrupted by a torn left patellar tendon in Game 3 of the 2023 first-round playoffs against the Bucks, limiting him to two postseason games with averages of 11.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.0 assist, and 1.0 steal. Following the injury, Oladipo was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, and Memphis Grizzlies without playing, and was ultimately waived.

Over 10 NBA seasons and 504 games (397 starts), Oladipo has career averages of 16.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.6 steals in 32.2 minutes, shooting 43.6% from the field and 34.7% from three-point range. Drafted second overall by the Orlando Magic in 2013 out of Indiana University, he earned All-Star nods in 2018 and 2019 with the Pacers, along with Most Improved Player and All-Defensive First Team honors in 2018. In his standout 2018-19 season, he averaged 23.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 2.4 steals, and 0.8 blocks.

Oladipo's college career at Indiana included 104 games with 10.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.7 assists, earning awards like the Adolph Rupp Trophy and first-team All-American in 2013. He has expressed determination for an NBA return, stating to HoopsHype, “You know, if push comes to shove and that’s the last option, we’ll see. I’m definitely one of the best. So that’s where I belong is the three letters: N-B-A.” The Herd, who started the G League season 0-1 with a loss to the Windy City Bulls, now add Oladipo to their roster in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
