Woman charged after chasing child on dirt bike in Washington

A 56-year-old woman in Washington state has been charged with first-degree attempted assault, DUI, and criminal trespass after allegedly chasing a child on a dirt bike and later attempting to enter a stranger's home.

Wendy A. Clemente was arrested on April 28 after deputies responded to reports of a reckless driver in the 7500 block of South Fruitvale Road in Cheney, Washington. According to the Spokane County Sheriff's Office, a silver Ford Focus driven by Clemente drove onto the sidewalk and attempted to hit a juvenile riding a dirt bike before chasing the child for 10 to 15 yards. A cellphone video captured the incident, showing the car speeding up as the child looked back. The child was not injured, authorities said.
