Yard Act stellen neues Album bei Überraschungskonzert in London vor

Yard Act spielten am 7. Mai ihr kommendes Album „You’re Gonna Need A Little Music“ in voller Länge während eines intimen Überraschungsauftritts im Unit 58 in Tottenham. Die Band aus Leeds kündigte das einmalige Konzert ihren Fans nur wenige Stunden vor Einlass über ihren E-Mail-Verteiler an.

Der Auftritt markierte die Live-Premiere der Platte, die die Gruppe zum ersten Mal gemeinsam im Studio aufgenommen hatte. Frontmann James Smith stellte Titel wie „Empty Pledges“ und „Redeemer“ vor, bevor das Set mit den letzten Liedern des Albums, „Talky Talky People“ und „Over The Barrel“, schloss. Anschließend spielte die Band noch älteres Material, darunter „Dead Horse“ und „Dark Days“.

Death Cab for Cutie announced their eleventh studio album, I Built You A Tower, set for release on June 5 via ANTI-. The band shared the reflective single Riptides and detailed a 2026 UK and European tour. This marks their return to an independent label after over 20 years on Atlantic.

Yard Act will release its new album You’re Gonna Need a Little Music on July 17 via Republic Records. The Leeds quartet shared the lead single Redeemer on May 7 along with a noirish video.
