The West Virginia University women's basketball team secured an 80-51 victory over Appalachian State on Thursday morning inside Hope Coliseum. Players Cooke and Wheeler led the Mountaineers to their fifth straight win. West Virginia improved to 5-0 overall, while Appalachian State fell to 3-2.
