The iconic Frank and Lupe's Mexican restaurant, a staple in Old Town Scottsdale for over 30 years, closed in September 2025 but is set to return under new ownership. Piero Aviles will lead the reopening in Gainey Ranch, preserving the original recipes and traditions of founders Frank and Maria “Lupe” Bernal. The new location is expected to open in spring 2026.

The auction, held from January 17 to 25, 2026, featured 949 authentic pieces that generated $4.7 million in sales with no reserve. Other notable lots included a neon sign and a custom go-kart.
