Comedienne Meltem Kaptan has won the ProSieben show 'The Masked Singer' in its 12th season. She performed as the somewhat grumpy-looking cow 'Muuhnika' and received the most viewer votes in the finale. Kaptan, also known as a moderator and actress, expressed gratitude for her participation.
In the final episode of the 12th season of 'The Masked Singer' on ProSieben, Meltem Kaptan claimed victory. The 45-year-old artist, performing under the cow costume 'Muuhnika', convinced viewers with her strong voice and thus secured the golden trophy as the best masked singer.
Kaptan is not only a comedienne but also a successful actress and moderator. For her role in the film 'Rabiye Kurnaz vs. George Bush', she received the Silver Bear at the Berlinale. During the show, she said: 'What a journey, folks, unbelievable.' This experience brought her back closer to singing. Juror Chris Tall had already dubbed her the 'Muh-donna', and Verona Pooth guessed the comedienne early: 'I can already see her clearly in front of me.'
In the finale, Kaptan prevailed against four competitors. Pietro Lombardi was in the ravioli costume, Amira Aly – the ex-wife of Oliver Pocher – as the egg 'Eggi', and Wayne Carpendale as the monkey 'King'. The win was anticipated, as Kaptan's performance improved weekly and she had one of the strongest voices in the field.
In 'The Masked Singer', celebrities appear as singers in elaborate costumes. Their identities remain hidden by masks; clues and voices only provide hints. At the end, the winner unmasks after votes from the audience and jury.
