Chief of Staff Manuel Adorni contradicted Patricia Bullrich on Tuesday and said he is available to deliver his management report in the Senate on July 2. The head of the ruling bloc had announced the suspension of the presentation to avoid political wear.
The decision caused surprise in political circles and revived speculation about internal differences within La Libertad Avanza. Adorni responded on his social media with a brief message: “I am available to appear on July 2 next at the Honorable Senate of the Nation to deliver the management report as required by the National Constitution.”
Bullrich had stated that she asked Adorni not to attend to avoid an adverse situation. The official’s collaborators maintained that the cancellation was due to administrative issues, as the blocs did not send the questions within the deadline.
In parallel, the opposition failed to achieve quorum in the Chamber of Deputies to advance an interpellation against Adorni. With support from PRO and the UCR, the ruling party moved the debate to committees next week. Adorni met with libertarian senators at Casa Rosada, although Bullrich did not attend the meeting.
