Battlefield 6 free trial launches across all platforms

Battlefield Studios has launched a free trial for Battlefield 6, available now through December 2, 2025, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The trial offers access to five modes and three maps, coinciding with the California Resistance update that introduces a new map called Eastwood. This comes as the game, released in October 2025, has sold over 10 million copies.

Free Trial Details

The Battlefield 6 free trial began on November 25, 2025, at 4 AM PT / 7 AM ET and will end at the same time on December 2. It allows players to sample the multiplayer shooter at no cost, featuring a selection of the game's core experiences. According to the announcement, the trial includes five modes and three maps, providing a taste of the full title's online military action.

California Resistance Update

Launching alongside the free trial, the California Resistance update adds the new map Eastwood, set near a golf course and luxury homes, complete with destructible environments and even golf carts for traversal. It also introduces a fast-paced limited-time event mode called Sabotage. A prior update on November 18 brought a new Gauntlet mission to the Redsec battle royale mode and Prepper Stashes scattered across the Fort Lyndon map.

Ongoing Season 1 Content

Battlefield 6's Season 1 continues with the Winter Offensive phase arriving on December 9, 2025, which will include special seasonal themed content. The game, developed by Battlefield Studios and published by EA, has been praised for its maps and gameplay, with recent additions like Eastwood ranking highly in player discussions. EA is currently in the process of being acquired for $55 billion.

This free trial offers newcomers a chance to experience why Battlefield 6 has attracted over 10 million players since its October launch.
