FC Bayern Munich's basketball team celebrated their second consecutive Euroleague win in front of soccer star Serge Gnabry. At home, the Munich side defeated Italian club Virtus Bologna 86:70 (41:38). A strong performance from the German European champions around Andreas Obst was key to the success, with Obst topping the Munich scorers with 21 points.

Just on Tuesday, coach Gordon Herbert's team had surprisingly beaten Real Madrid. After eight of 38 matchdays in the league phase, Bayern sit at four wins and four losses. At the debut of ex-NBA star Spencer Dinwiddie for the Munich team, Gnabry and former soccer world champion Mats Hummels watched a balanced first half marked by many interruptions. Bayern led by a narrow three points at halftime.

After the break, the Italian guests started stronger and turned their deficit into a 51:46 lead. However, Obst and his teammates were unfazed by Bologna's strong phase and secured a comfortable victory in the end. Dinwiddie contributed just six points in his first appearance for Bayern and was not yet a major factor.
