Bithell Games reveals Vampirium: 1997 Immersive Sim

Bithell Games has announced Vampirium: 1997, a new top-down immersive sim where players act as an assassin serving Dracula as King of England.

The studio, known for Tron: Catalyst, John Wick Hex and Thomas Was Alone, described the game as a tactical experience set in living environments. Players manage time carefully while infiltrating locations and choosing actions such as disabling lights or eliminating guards.

An eight-minute gameplay walkthrough narrated by founder Mike Bithell demonstrates the sandbox-style approach with blueprint views and character dialogue. The title is being developed on Mac and is already Steam Deck compatible at 60 frames per second.

Bithell Games laid off most of its staff nearly a year ago after Tron: Catalyst, released in June 2025, did not lead to a larger follow-up project. It remains unclear how many people are currently working on the new game.
