Södertälje goaltender Niclas Westerholm shone, stopping 38 shots, including several key saves in the third. However, the game went to overtime, where Björklöven's Olli Vainio, a former Södertälje player, dove to block Filip Engarås's shot on an open net during a power play. "I knew he was going to shoot, he has a good shot," Vainio said afterward.

Vainio, enjoying a strong season with 18 points in 31 games, noted the matchup's intensity: "It was a good game from both teams, tight and physical. I enjoyed it, especially winning."
