Body of young woman found in Juárez as prosecutors investigate feminicide

Prosecutors in Nuevo León are investigating the discovery of the body of a woman aged 25 to 30 in the Montebello neighborhood of Juárez municipality.

The body was found early Tuesday on a dirt road at the intersection of Montebello and Monte Alpes streets. Neighbors reported the discovery and municipal police cordoned off the area.

The victim had head injuries and wore a light blouse, black denim shorts and white sneakers. Agents from the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Feminicides took over the case and experts processed the scene.

Authorities are seeking surveillance footage and collecting witness statements. The incident comes days after arrests in the feminicides of Mónica Briseth and Pamela Yahaira.
