Brazil have confirmed Neymar is making good progress in his recovery from a calf injury. The update follows an MRI scan on Monday.
The Brazilian Football Confederation said the scan showed progress within expected parameters. Neymar will continue his planned recovery and physical preparation with the national team medical staff. Neymar sustained a grade two muscle tear while playing for Santos on May 28. He was still selected for Brazil's 26-man squad for the 2026 World Cup. Coach Carlo Ancelotti had stated the injury would not force Neymar out of the tournament. Brazil hope the forward can join training this week ahead of their opening match against Morocco. Brazil defeated Egypt 2-1 in a warm-up game last Saturday.
