Britain reveals eventing shortlist for Aachen 2026

The British eventing squad shortlist for the 2026 World Championships in Aachen has been revealed, including the gold medal-winning team from Paris 2024.

The 15-strong list features prominent combinations such as Ros Canter with Lordships Graffalo, Laura Collett with London 52 and Tom McEwen with JL Dublin. These riders are among the favourites for selection to the final squad of five.

The championships, scheduled for 11 to 23 August, also mark the first opportunity to secure a team ticket for the LA28 Olympic Games. Medals and Olympic qualification remain key factors for selectors.

The selection panel includes independent chair Graeme McPherson along with Mark Phillips, Sarah Bullen and Nigel Taylor. A British Equestrian spokesperson stated that the final squad will be announced at a later date, subject to fitness and performance.

The deadline for definite entries is 27 July. The full shortlist includes additional pairs such as Caroline Harris with D. Day and Harry Meade with Cavalier Crystal.
