Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 update adds Endgame disconnect protection

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 received a patch on November 25, 2025, introducing disconnect protection for its Endgame mode to prevent progress loss from crashes. The update comes ahead of Season 1, launching December 4, which includes new content like boss battles and the option to skip the campaign. Treyarch addressed player feedback to improve the high-risk extraction-style gameplay.

Update Details

The November 25 update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 focuses on the co-op Endgame mode, where players deploy to the Avalon map to level up abilities and combat ratings through matches. Previously, disconnects or crashes caused total progress loss, frustrating players in this extraction-style shooter. Now, the game snapshots a player's Combat Rating at the match start, allowing them to resume at that level after a disconnect.

Treyarch stated, "We're thrilled with the response to Endgame so far and have enjoyed watching new players deploy to Avalon to explore, complete quests, and begin the journey toward the Genesis Mastery Camo. We've also seen the feedback: disconnect / crash protections are needed to help protect your Combat Rating."

The developer added that they are exploring more robust protections and will share updates in the future.

Season 1 Preview

Season 1 arrives on December 4, integrating Black Ops 7 with Warzone and bringing new features across modes. Players can now skip the single-player campaign to access Endgame immediately, enabling faster progression toward weapon cosmetics.

Endgame gains new world events, including battles against a giant robot from Black Ops 2 Zombies and a zombie T-Rex from Black Ops 6. Later, a fear-manifested VTOL aircraft and toxin-induced hallucinations will appear, alongside exotic skills and a Christmas-themed event.

Multiplayer introduces over six new maps and modes, the Deadeye Drone scorestreak, and 12 returning loadout items from Black Ops 6. Zombies mode features a new round-based map, narrative and challenge modes, returning items, and a festive limited-time event.

Seven new weapons, more maps, and seasonal events round out the update. The full patch notes are available via Activision.
