Cbf holds 8th arbitration seminar in Federal District

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) opened the 8th arbitration seminar in the Federal District on Friday (7/11), in partnership with the Federal District Football Federation (FFDF). The three-day event aims to train local and national referees. Arbitration officials attended the opening ceremony.

The seminar was inaugurated on Friday night (7/11) at the auditorium of the Physical Training Center of the Fire Department (CECAF) in Brasília, where all classes and trainings will take place until Sunday (9/11). The event, part of the itinerant project 'CBF without borders', designed by CBF president Samir Xaud, aims to unify and train arbitration across the country.

Attendees included Rodrigo Cintra, president of the CBF arbitration commission; Raimundo Lopo, president of the Federal District arbitration commission; Daniel Vasconcelos, president of the FFDF; former assistant Fabrício Vilarinho; and various local referees and assistants. After the initial speeches, tributes were made to Cintra, Vasconcelos, Vilarinho, inspector Jamir Garcez, and representatives of the Federal District Arbitrators Union (SAF-DF).

The course covers topics such as game control, fouls, technical and physical aspects of arbitration, targeted at CBF-registered referees from the Federal District, recent graduates, and those in training. Daniel Vasconcelos highlighted support for local arbitration: “It is a legacy I want to leave, the valorization of local arbitration, and bringing this seminar here is an honor for us, it is important to strengthen our referees to have increasingly stronger local competitions”.

Raimundo Lopo emphasized the closeness to the CBF: “It is very important to get closer and closer to the CBF, having the arbitration commission so close and with so many important topics is fundamental to help develop our arbitration”. Rodrigo Cintra promised more opportunities: “We are certain that the referees here in the federal capital have total conditions to improve more and more, we want to give more and more conditions so that they have more opportunities”.
