Cctv captures fiery crash on nairobi expressway near ole sereni

Cctv footage shows a speeding vehicle losing control and bursting into flames near the Ole Sereni Interchange on the Nairobi Expressway on Sunday night.

The incident occurred around 8:29pm on May 31 as two vehicles travelled at high speed along the highway. One vehicle swerved sharply after close manoeuvres and crashed into a barrier, erupting in flames while the other continued out of view.

Thick smoke spread across the road as other motorists slowed to pass the burning wreckage near the junction linking Mombasa Road and the Southern Bypass. The footage was recorded by a camera at marker K14+896R.

It remains unclear how many people were in the vehicle or if there were survivors. Authorities have not yet released an official statement on casualties or the cause.
