Chace Crawford has shared his reaction to the demise of his character The Deep in the series finale of The Boys.
The actor told Entertainment Tonight that the ending felt deserved. He expressed surprise at lasting until the final episode. In Season 5 Episode 8 titled Blood and Bone The Deep is killed by sea creatures after a confrontation with Starlight. Crawford called the scene hilarious due to the irony of his character being banned from the ocean and then murdered by marine life. Crawford also discussed an unfulfilled idea for a spin-off comedy on the Armchair Expert podcast. The character's death ends any chance of that project moving forward.
