The Chicago Wolves defeated the Colorado Eagles 4-3 in Game 7 on June 8 to advance to the 2026 Calder Cup Finals. Ryan Suzuki scored the go-ahead goal early in the third period for the road win.
The victory gives Chicago its sixth Western Conference championship in 25 AHL seasons. The Wolves will face the Toronto Marlies in the best-of-seven finals, which begin Friday night in Rosemont, Illinois. Chicago became the 10th team in league history to win both Game 6 and Game 7 on the road in a playoff series. All four of its wins in the seven-game set against Colorado were decided by one goal. Ryan Suzuki and Noah Philp each finished with a goal and an assist. Juuso Välimäki added two assists, and Amir Miftakhov stopped 39 shots. Bradly Nadeau and Ivan Rybkin also scored for the Wolves. Colorado received goals from Wyatt Aamodt, Jason Polin and captain Jayson Megna.
