Canio Corbo, Tomás Hurtado and Nicolás Larraín, together with the Bertens brothers, acquired Sociedad Agrícola Las Mercedes in La Unión, which operates with 1,200 cows.
The transaction was completed on March 26, 2026. The five buyer companies paid around US$5 million for the 500-hectare farm, financed with bank credit.
The Bertens control 70% through Asesorías e Inversiones Sennerin. Hurtado holds 22.5% plus a 3% indirect stake, while Corbo and Larraín each have an indirect 3% through Agrícola CHL Capital.
The company produces about 19 million liters of milk per year and is a partner of the Colun cooperative. The new owners will maintain that relationship and the operation will be run by the Bertens.
The partners already shared a trout farming business in Mexico through Baja Trout.
