UFC fighter Conor McGregor criticized the promotion's decision to feature WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns at the Freedom 250 event held on the South Lawn of the White House this past weekend.
McGregor made the comments while signing autographs, responding to a video clip shared by Fightful Wrestling on June 17, 2026. He stated that UFC should have focused on its own fighters rather than placing Reigns alongside them.
"They should've platformed our own combatants," McGregor said. "You know, and then they put them next to these guys. Put that guys next to these guys, what, so who the f**k are you? What's up, yeah. Let it be seen by the public, and then we'd have something to look forward to on our side. Bouts to look forward to, guys to look forward to. Remember, these guys crashed here, there, etc., etc. It builds the story and all of that."
The event also included WWE chief content officer Triple H. McGregor has previously declined a reported offer from WWE for WrestleMania 33 in 2017, while Reigns commented on McGregor's size in 2019.
