A couple in their 40s faces charges of sexual assault after having sex in the Kärlekstunneln at Gröna Lund in Stockholm last August. An employee witness suffered a panic attack after seeing the act on cameras, with a child in the boat behind. The woman admits the act but denies any crime.
During a summer evening in early August last year, staff at Gröna Lund noticed a couple in their 40s having intercourse in the Kärlekstunneln. The 43-year-old man and 42-year-old woman were captured on eight camera angles. A child sat in the boat behind watching, according to a female employee who became the complainant and testified in police interrogation, as reported via Göteborgs-Posten (GP) in the sources. The employee described: “In one of the last camera angles she stands up and I then see both of their genitals.” She called out via the speaker to make them stop, but the couple continued. “I get a quite extreme panic attack. A colleague takes over for me and I sit on the floor crying and shaking,” she said. The couple was detained by security guards. They now face charges of sexual assault (sexuellt ofredande) at Södertörns tingsrätt. The woman admits the intercourse but denies the crime: “I admit that I had intercourse but it was not intended to offend anyone.” She explained: “From my side it was the feelings and the moment that took over, that it was dark and cozy and no one sees us.” The man's position is unclear; he wants to speak with a lawyer present.
