Darin Brooks and Kelly Kruger, stars of the long-running soap opera "The Bold and the Beautiful," are parting ways after nearly a decade of marriage. According to documents obtained by TMZ, the couple submitted a joint filing in January, listing irreconcilable differences as the cause of their split.
The pair met in 2010 when Kruger made a guest appearance on Brooks' college football sitcom "Blue Mountain State." Reflecting on their early days in a 2016 interview with Soaps.com, Brooks described how they became close friends. "For a good 3 to 6 months she was telling me who to date," he said. He added, "We were spending so much time together, and one day I just grabbed her head, and I kissed her."
Their professional paths crossed again in the soap opera world. Brooks joined the cast of "The Bold and the Beautiful" in 2013, with Kruger following in 2014. The couple has two daughters: 6-year-old Everleigh and 4-year-old Gemma.
Brooks, aged 41, and Kruger, 43, were approaching their 10-year wedding anniversary at the time of the filing. No further details on custody or asset division were provided in the documents.
