Egypt’s health minister met the British ambassador in Cairo to explore stronger ties in medical training, digital health and hospital management.
Egypt’s Health Ministry reported that Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar held talks with British Ambassador Gareth Bayley. The discussion focused on expanding training programmes for doctors and nurses through the National Health Service.
Both sides agreed to create a long-term framework covering clinical training, scientific research, digital health and hospital administration. The minister highlighted longstanding partnerships and Egypt’s commitment to building international links that improve national healthcare quality.
Ambassador Bayley praised recent progress in Egypt’s health sector and signalled readiness to deepen collaboration. The meeting forms part of Egypt’s drive to modernise its system and develop more internationally qualified medical staff.
