Egypt's General Authority for Investment and Free Zones and Enterprise Singapore held talks to boost bilateral investment ties. The meeting focused on attracting Singaporean projects in key sectors.
Mohamed Awad, CEO of GAFI, met a delegation led by Rahul Ghosh, Regional Director for the Middle East and Africa at Enterprise Singapore. Discussions covered ways to promote Egyptian investment opportunities and build partnerships that support technology transfer, industrial localisation, export growth and job creation.
Awad stressed Egypt's competitive advantages, including a skilled workforce, natural resources and modern infrastructure. He reaffirmed GAFI's commitment to offering integrated services that improve the investment climate.
Ghosh noted rising interest from Singaporean companies and funds in Egypt's logistics, renewable energy and information technology sectors. The delegation visited industrial zones and met officials from the Ministries of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, and Environment.
Both sides agreed to continue coordination to turn investor interest into concrete projects.
