The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority has issued a public notice alerting Kenyans to a fraudster soliciting money under false promises of employment at the agency.
The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority issued the warning on Monday, May 18. It stated that an individual named David is not an employee, agent or representative of EPRA and holds no authority to conduct recruitment or offer jobs on its behalf.
The notice explained that the individual has been requesting money from members of the public while claiming he could secure employment opportunities at the authority. EPRA stressed that its recruitment processes are carried out transparently and strictly on merit with no fees charged at any stage.
The regulator urged the public to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious recruitment activities to the relevant authorities. It added that job seekers should verify all information through official channels only.
