The Attorney General's Office seized a second alleged clandestine mini-refinery in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, where it found more than 109,000 liters of hydrocarbons.
The FGR located the facility in a rural area of Reynosa. At the site, authorities found 109,400 liters of hydrocarbons, three storage tanks, storage utensils and tractor-trailers for transportation. A video surveillance system with a transmission antenna was also detected.
No arrests were reported. The exact location of the property was not revealed, nor was it confirmed if it is linked to the mini-refinery seized days earlier in the same area.
The discovery comes amid the federal campaign against fiscal fuel theft. According to the FGR, the scheme involves passing fuel from the United States without reporting to evade taxes, with the participation of customs authorities in Tamaulipas. The fuel was distributed to Coahuila, Durango and Zacatecas.
