FX has ordered the drama series 'Disinherited,' created by Peter Gould, following a pilot order in June 2025. The show features Victoria Pedretti and Kiera Allen as sisters navigating an unexpected inheritance and hidden family secrets. Gould, known for 'Better Call Saul,' wrote and directed the pilot.
FX announced the series order for 'Disinherited' on March 4, 2026, as reported by Variety. The project, initially greenlit as a pilot in June 2025, centers on two sisters who enter a realm of inherited wealth and concealed crimes. Victoria Pedretti and Kiera Allen lead the cast, joined by Karl Glusman, Alan Ruck, Katja Herbers, Eddie Marsan, and Jonathan Higginbotham.
Gina Balian, president of FX Entertainment, praised the series, stating, "'Disinherited' is exactly the kind of bold, character-driven storytelling that defines FX. With Peter Gould at the helm, this is a deeply human story about family, power and consequence, that plays with high moral stakes. And at the center of it all is a pair of sisters for whom it’s impossible not to root for as we watch this David vs. Goliath story unfold."
Peter Gould serves as writer and executive producer, having also directed the pilot episode. Executive producers include Rian Johnson, Ram Bergman, and Nena Rodrigue from T-Street Productions, with FX Productions as the studio.
This order follows recent FX developments, such as a 'Snowfall' spinoff featuring Gail Bean and Isaiah John, and a 'Far Cry' adaptation by Noah Hawley and Rob Mac.
Gould previously co-created and showran AMC's 'Better Call Saul,' directing its finale and contributing to 'Breaking Bad.' His credits also include the HBO film 'Too Big to Fail.'
Pedretti gained recognition in Netflix's 'The Haunting of Hill House' and as Love Quinn in 'You,' reprising her collaboration with Mike Flanagan in 'The Haunting of Bly Manor.' Her film roles include 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,' 'Origin,' and 'Ponyboi.'
Kiera Allen appeared opposite Sarah Paulson in Hulu's 'Run' and is set for 'Littlemouth' with Dennis Quaid and Josh Hutcherson.
