The social leasing campaign for electric vehicles opens on July 16 with around twenty models offered at monthly rents between 94 and 199 euros.
The government published on Tuesday, July 7 the list of vehicles eligible for the new long-term rental campaign at reduced prices. This offer, limited to 50,000 households, aims to make electric cars accessible to modest households.
Beneficiaries must be adults, fiscal residents in France and have a reference tax income per share of 16,880 euros or less. They must also justify home-to-work trips of at least 10 kilometers or 8,000 professional kilometers per year.
Three models are offered for less than 100 euros per month: the Citroën ë-C3 from 94 euros, the Fiat Grande Panda Electric from 95 euros and the Opel Frontera Electric from 99 euros. Other city cars and SUVs are listed between 114 and 199 euros, including the Renault Twingo Electric, the Peugeot e-208 and the Jeep Avenger.
State aid corresponds to 29 % of the acquisition cost, up to 6,500 euros, or 9,000 euros if the vehicle is produced in the European Economic Area.
