Grand day of the dead parade 2025 tours cdmx with art and technology

The Grand Day of the Dead Parade 2025 will transform Mexico City's streets into a vibrant stage of color, art, and memory on November 1. Organized by the CDMX Government and the Secretariat of Culture, the event will gather thousands of participants from Puerta de los Leones to the Zócalo. For the first time, OPPO brand will join the route, capturing moments with its technology.

The Grand Day of the Dead Parade 2025 will take place on Saturday, November 1, at 14:00 hours, starting at Puerta de los Leones in Bosque de Chapultepec and ending at Plaza de la Constitución, known as the Zócalo. The eight-kilometer route will pass through Paseo de la Reforma, including the Glorieta de la Diana Cazadora and the Ángel de la Independencia, Avenida Juárez in front of Palacio de Bellas Artes, and Calle 5 de Mayo toward the Historic Center. With an approximate duration of five hours, the event is free and suitable for all audiences, as part of the Day of the Dead Festival 2025, expecting over seven million attendees and an economic spillover exceeding 2 billion pesos.

Organized by the Government of Mexico City and the capital's Secretariat of Culture, the parade will involve artists, collectives, and communities in creating allegorical floats, costumes, and troupes. María Teresa Pérez Cruz, director of Faro de Oriente, highlighted: “the collective spirit that distinguishes Mexico City, where art unites tradition and creativity.” Participants will include cultural promoters, the FAROS network, community collectives, and CDMX's UTOPÍAS, representing Mexican cultural diversity.

In this edition, the technology brand OPPO participated for the first time, led by Eduardo Morones, CEO of OPPO Mexico. The team walked the route from Reforma to the Zócalo, integrating into the flow of color and emotion under the motto “Celebrando con México en honor a cada momento de la vida” and “Make your moment.” The parade photographs were captured with the Reno14, positioned as “The Portrait Expert,” preserving the celebration's essence. Morones emphasized the emotional connection built with attendees, demonstrating a commitment to cultural citizenship beyond technical innovation.

To enjoy the event, authorities recommend arriving from midday, using public transport like the Metro at Chapultepec, Hidalgo, Juárez, and Zócalo stations, and dressing as catrina or calavera. The live broadcast will be available on Canal 14, Capital 21, and the official networks of the Secretariat of Culture starting at 14:00 hours.
