A Hong Kong aurora-chasing tour group rescued two fellow residents who had been swept away while scuba diving near Hobart on Friday.
WWPKG Tours detailed the rescue in a Facebook post on Sunday. Tour group leader Foxman Hui and members were on a Southern Lights sightseeing cruise in Hobart, Tasmania, when they spotted the two Hong Kong divers who had been swept away by ocean currents.
The leader used a smartphone camera to search the pitch-black sea surface and located the pair around 500 metres from their original planned surfacing point.
The agency praised Hui for exceptional alertness and professionalism, stating the act saved two fellow Hong Kong residents and shone a light on the brilliance of humanity.
