HV71 completes roster ahead of 2026/27 season

HV71 has finalized its squad for the coming season with the additions of Noah Philp and Jan Mysak. The signings mark the end of the club's recruitment efforts under new permanent sports chief Johan Hult.

The Swedish club announced it now has a full roster of three goalkeepers, eight defensemen and fifteen forwards for the 2026/27 campaign. Hult told Jönköpings-Posten that the group is set and expressed confidence in its development potential.

Philp, a right-shot forward with NHL experience at Edmonton and Carolina, joins as a reliable two-way center. Mysak, from the Czech Republic, adds similar stability and may help boost teammate Lukas Rousek.

Niklas Eriksson takes over as head coach with the task of maximizing output from the existing players. The team aims to reverse three consecutive seasons of qualification play.
